We are a family of four: Libby and Larry, and kids Hally and Liam. We bought about 7 acres near Durham and Chapel Hill, NC, in the winter of 2001-02, and soon named it after the small pond in a natural bowl that teems with life, especially frogs. We are trying to learn what we can about how to live more lightly on the Earth. Some of our major interests are renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation, and growing fruits and vegetables organically and sustainably. We continually learn from others and hope to share what we learn through workshops, classes, and informal gatherings.
